1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you,” “your,” or “Client”) and Maple Lotus Yoga Studio Ltd. (“Maple Lotus Yoga Studio Ltd.,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website, booking or attending any class, session, workshop, private coaching, or corporate wellness service, or otherwise engaging with our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and any policies referenced herein.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services. These Terms apply to all services provided by Maple Lotus Yoga Studio Ltd., including without limitation Vinyasa Flow Classes, Hatha Yoga Classes, Restorative Yoga Sessions, Beginner Yoga Foundations, Private One-on-One Yoga Coaching, Prenatal Yoga, and Corporate Wellness Yoga.
2. Scope of Services
Maple Lotus Yoga Studio Ltd. provides yoga and wellness instruction and related services in person, online, or through other delivery methods we may offer from time to time. Our services may include:
- Vinyasa Flow Classes
- Hatha Yoga Classes
- Restorative Yoga Sessions
- Beginner Yoga Foundations
- Private One-on-One Yoga Coaching
- Prenatal Yoga
- Corporate Wellness Yoga
Our services are intended for general wellness, fitness, mobility, relaxation, and educational purposes. They are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, result, or level of fitness, flexibility, health, or wellness.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service, class format, schedule, instructor assignment, or delivery method at any time, subject to any applicable law and any pre-existing booking commitments.
3. User Obligations and Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to all of the following:
- You are at least the age of majority in your province or territory of residence, or you have valid parental or legal guardian consent.
- You have consulted a qualified healthcare provider before participating if you are pregnant, injured, recovering from illness or surgery, or have any medical condition, pain, limitation, or concern.
- You will inform us and the instructor of any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, pregnancy, dizziness, or other circumstances that may affect your participation.
- You will participate safely, follow all instructions, use good judgment, and stop immediately if you feel pain, discomfort, dizziness, or other adverse symptoms.
- You will use proper attire and appropriate equipment and ensure your practice area is safe, clear, and suitable for yoga participation.
- You will not attend a class or session if you are intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or otherwise unable to participate safely.
- You will treat instructors, staff, other participants, and property with respect and will not engage in abusive, disruptive, discriminatory, harassing, or unlawful conduct.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of all information you provide to us, including booking details, health disclosures, and payment information.
You acknowledge that yoga and related physical activity involve inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, strains, sprains, aggravation of pre-existing conditions, and other injuries. You voluntarily assume all such risks to the fullest extent permitted by law.
4. Payment Terms and Conditions
Fees, pricing, package terms, memberships, and applicable taxes are as posted on our website, booking platform, studio materials, or invoice at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing by Maple Lotus Yoga Studio Ltd.
- All payments must be made in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise.
- Payment is due in full at the time of booking or purchase unless we expressly permit deferred payment.
- We may require prepayment, deposits, or advance registration for certain services, including private sessions and corporate bookings.
- You are responsible for all applicable taxes, fees, and charges not expressly included in the listed price.
- If a payment is declined, reversed, charged back, or otherwise not completed, we may suspend or cancel your booking and recover any associated costs permitted by law.
Promotional rates, discounts, referral credits, and gift certificates may be subject to additional terms and conditions. Unless expressly stated otherwise, payments are non-transferable and have no cash value.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Our cancellation and refund practices may vary depending on the service purchased and will be communicated at the time of booking or purchase. Unless a different policy is stated for a specific service, the following apply:
- Class bookings may be cancelled without charge only if cancelled within the permitted cancellation window disclosed at booking.
- Late cancellations, missed classes, or no-shows may be charged in full and are not refundable.
- Private one-on-one sessions and corporate wellness sessions may require advance notice for cancellation or rescheduling, as specified at the time of booking.
- Packages, memberships, and multi-session purchases may be non-refundable once any portion of the package has been used, subject to applicable law.
- Refunds, if approved, will generally be issued using the original payment method within a reasonable time.
We reserve the right to deny a refund where the service has been rendered, the cancellation terms were not met, or the request is otherwise inconsistent with these Terms or applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable Canadian law.
If we cancel a class or service due to instructor unavailability, safety concerns, facility issues, low enrollment, or other operational reasons, we may offer a refund, credit, rescheduling option, or substitute service at our discretion, subject to applicable law and the specific circumstances.
6. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Maple Lotus Yoga Studio Ltd., its directors, officers, employees, contractors, instructors, agents, affiliates, successors, and assigns shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our services.
Without limiting the foregoing, we are not responsible for:
- injury, illness, death, or property damage arising from participation in our services;
- losses caused by inaccurate information you provide;
- losses resulting from your failure to follow instructions, contraindications, or safety guidance;
- interruptions, errors, delays, or failures in third-party platforms, payment processors, or telecommunications services;
- loss or damage to personal belongings brought to classes, sessions, or premises.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or any statutory liability that cannot be limited under applicable Canadian law.
You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for assessing your physical and medical suitability for participation and for obtaining professional advice where needed. Where you are pregnant or may be pregnant, you must consult your healthcare provider before attending prenatal or other yoga services.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
All content, materials, branding, class sequences, training materials, written content, audio, video, images, logos, designs, and other intellectual property made available by Maple Lotus Yoga Studio Ltd. are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use our content solely for your own non-commercial personal wellness purposes. You must not, without our prior written consent:
- copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, modify, or create derivative works from our materials;
- record, photograph, livestream, or otherwise capture classes or sessions where prohibited;
- use our name, logo, or materials for commercial purposes or public promotion;
- remove copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide to us may be used by Maple Lotus Yoga Studio Ltd. without restriction or compensation, to the extent permitted by law.
8. Data Protection and Privacy
We collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including, as applicable, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial legislation.
We may collect personal information such as your name, contact details, booking history, payment information, emergency contact information, health-related information you voluntarily provide, and other information necessary to provide our services, manage studio operations, communicate with you, and comply with legal or contractual obligations.

9. Force Majeure
Maple Lotus Yoga Studio Ltd. will not be liable for any delay, cancellation, failure to perform, or interruption in service caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, fire, flood, earthquake, severe weather, power outages, labour disputes, public health emergencies, government orders, pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, facility damage, internet outages, or failures of third-party service providers.
In such circumstances, we may suspend, reschedule, or modify services as reasonably necessary. Where possible, we may offer an alternative session, credit, or other remedy at our discretion, subject to applicable law and the nature of the disruption.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update or revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business, services, technology, legal requirements, or operational needs. The updated Terms will be effective when posted on our website or otherwise communicated to you, unless a different effective date is stated.
Your continued use of our services after the effective date of any revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using our services.
11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Subject to any mandatory consumer protection or other applicable law, you agree that the courts located in Vancouver, British Columbia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or our services.

13. Severability Clause
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, unenforceable, or contrary to applicable law by a court or other competent authority, that provision will be severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
